Jan. 11--Cox Communications, the largest cable television company in Arizona, will acquire CableAmerica Corp.'s Arizona operations serving 35,000 subscribers in Mesa, Queen Creek and several other communities in Maricopa and Pinal counties, the two companies announced Tuesday.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Cox serves most of the Valley outside of the areas served by CableAmerica, but the two companies have overlapping service territories in about one-third of Mesa. Customers of the two companies receive similar video and Internet services, but Cox offers wired telephone that is not available from Cable ...
