Jan. 13--AGUILAR - A cold front with some snow hampered efforts Thursday to locate any hot spots remaining from the 4,500-acre Mauricio Canyon fire. Fire information officer Ralph Bellah and San Isabel National Forest spokeswoman Barb Timrock said there was little if any change from Wednesday's estimate of 45 percent containment of the blaze. On scene were 72 firefighters to aid in the search for lingering hot spots.
