Jan. 14--Climate change is linked to global warming. While the Earth has warmed and cooled many times, only in the last century have levels of carbon dioxide and methane gas showed marked and sustained increases, according to scientists. NASA's Goddard Institute note 2005 was the hottest year globally in the last 125 years. In late November, a team of European scientists analyzing Antarctic ice for clues to ancient Earth's atmosphere, found there's more carbon dioxide now than anytime in the last 650,000 years.
