Jan. 15--DOVER -- As the General Assembly's 2006 sessions begins to get into gear, legislators are again faced with questions about the manufactured home industry.
Tenants are pushing for legislation to control rent increases and provide other protections, but landowners say those bills will end up driving them out of business.
Though such rent-related measures have died in past sessions, supporters continue to work for them.
"It's like pushing a boulder up a hill," said Sen. George H. Bunting, D-Bethany Beach, who has worked on manufactured housing legislation for decades.
