Many locations in central and eastern Canada experienced summerlike weather for most of September where monthly temperatures were 1 to 5[degrees]C (2 to 9[degrees]F) above long-term averages. Most other regions of Canada experienced near-normal temperatures. Rainfall, or occasionally a lack of rain, contributed to many events associated with weather across Canada during the month, including significant rainfall in the Vancouver area at the end of the month which provided a soaking and ended an extended time of moisture deficiency.
