Jan. 17--DECATUR -- The Decatur City Council tonight will review efforts to spur economic growth.
Craig Coil, president of the Economic Development Corporation of Decatur and Macon County, will discuss efforts to grow the economy at a study session following tonight's council meeting.
"It's been a great year," Coil said. "We're one of the only communities in downstate Illinois to have shown employment growth every month for the past 18 months.
"That's pretty significant."
The city provides $100,000 in funding each year for the Economic Development Corporation of Decatur and Macon County. The corporation ...
