DENVER (FNS) -- For years, Denver has prided itself on the many tourist attractions available in or near the city: the U.S. Mint, the Molly Brown House, the Coors Brewery, Red Rocks Amphitheater and so on.
A recent study, however, contends that all of these have taken a back seat to the upscale Cherry Creek Shopping Center, built less than three years ago by the Taubman Co., which is drawing 16 million visitors yearly.
Cherry Creek was named the number-one draw for overnight tourists, ahead of all the city's traditional tourist attractions, according to the study commissioned by the Denver Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau.
