Risk of Polish bird flu outbreak pegged at 40%, says Polish veterinary expert
WARSAW. JANUARY 17. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - There is a 40% probability of a bird flu outbreak occurring in Poland, which would devastated the country's poultry industry, Tadeusz Wijaszka from the Polish Veterinary Science Institute said Tuesday at a Warsaw press conference hosted by the Polish poultry chamber (KRD).
"The risk analysis we performed indicated the possibility of bird flu outbreak in Poland this year of about 40%," Wijaszka said.
