Jan. 18--The past two visits to Santa Fe High's Toby Roybal Memorial Gymnasium had been unkind to Albuquerque La Cueva. Two trips, two years, and two losses. They were two district games that carried a lot more weight when only the district cham-La Cueva 59 pion and runners-SFHS 45 up advanced to the state tournament.
But every game is meaningful now, many coaches will argue, with a seeding process implemented for the state tournament.
