Sakhalin deputies reject changes to Sakhalin Energy tax law

YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK. Jan 19 (Interfax) - Sakhalin Regional Duma deputies on Thursday rejected an amendment to the regional tax law governing the production sharing agreement for the Piltun-Astokhsky and Lunskoye oil and gas fields, a source in the regional Duma's press center told Interfax.

The press center said that this amendment should have cancelled breaks provided by the regional law to Sakhalin-2 operator Sakhalin Energy on the payment of property tax.
