THE recipe for the perfect cheese and wine party was revealed yesterday.
Don't spend too much on the wine and concentrate on buying good cheese.
Scientists have found that cheese masks the subtle tastes of wine, so serving up a vintage bottle is simply a waste of money.
The team from the University of California, took four different types of red wine - Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah - using cheap and expensive versions of each.
