Health care: U.S. industry is growing 8 percent annually
Agnes Allan began hospice care with some doubts, but, by the time the terminally-ill, 78-year-old cancer patient died two months later, both she and her family were believers.
"I think her biggest concern was that somehow she'd lose control," said William Allan, 49, whose mother, Agnes, died in January of lung cancer. "But she was in total control -- the hospice staff helped her to make her final decisions for herself, to think things through.
