Jan. 20--Saw "Glory Road" on opening day. Good movie. Not great, like "Hoosiers." Doesn't make my top 20 sports movies of all-time (see chart), but a good movie. Despite "Glory Road" being a captivating story, the movie never captivated me. Perhaps I got too wrapped up deciphering fact from fiction. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer said he obsessed over details, but he needed a calendar. The movie's time element is skewed. The movie made it appear Texas Western coach Don Haskins went out, found seven black players and won the 1966 NCAA championship just one year after coaching high school girls basketball.
