BROWNSVILLE - The Central Linn School District will pay former Superintendent Max Harrell $36,000 as part of a negotiated resignation agreement approved by the district school board last week.
The agreement also restricts what district officials can say about Harrell's 4 1/2 -year tenure with the district, allowing them only to confirm his position, dates of employment and Jan. 3 resignation.
Harrell was five months into a three-year contract when "disputes arose concerning certain actions and decisions of Harrell as superintendent, which resulted in the district placing him on administrative leave," ...
