Jan. 22--But those complexities -- nearly 60 types of plans from nearly two dozen private companies, different premium and deductible levels, income requirements and a host of other confusing, inter-related issues -- have seniors wondering what they should do. "You have so many choices and you're so baffled, you don't know what to do," Eris Barbour, 83, of Burlington said. "You see how clear it is? It's muck." But that confusion, according to proponents of Medicare Part D, is outweighed by the long-term benefits, mainly the amount people will save under the plan and the ability to choose only as much coverage as they need.
