NEW DELHI, Jan 23 Asia Pulse - India should increase the use of renewanble energy to achieve energy independence and preserve and protect the environment, President A P J Abdul Kalam said here on Friday.
"India is in the developing pace which will need large amount of energy. As a long term policy India has to go for energy independence.
"The main features of energy independence is to increase the use of renewable energy like solar enery on a large scale, establish large number of thorium-based nuclear power plants and go for massive plantation of jatropha which will lead to production of bio-fuel for the automobile sector, Kalam said inaugurating a ...
