Jan. 24--STOCKTON - The Thunder returns to Stockton on Saturday, and the Stanley Cup is coming along for a visit.
The NHL's ultimate prize will be on display at Stockton Arena before and during the Thunder's game against the Long Beach Ice Dogs at 7:30 p.m. The Stanley Cup will be in San Diego on Friday when the Thunder meets the Gulls, and then will be transported to Stockton.
"It's an honor to host the Stanley Cup," Thunder president Dan Chapman said. "The Stanley Cup, in my opinion, is the most symbolic and well-known trophy in sports."
