When Midge Richardson brought in Rip Georges to redesign Seventeen, she was seeking a bold new look. But she got more than she bargained for, and within five months, Georges was gone.
Month after month for the past 49 years, Seventeen has counseled teens on countless identity crises. But when it came to dealing with its own recently, the magazine clearly forgot to consult its pages.
