A third-generation (3G) service has been introduced to Slovakia by mobile operator T-Mobile, the mobile part of Deutsche Telekom.

The operator said the UMTS network would be live in Bratislava, Slovakia's capital city, from today and confirmed that it intends to introduce the service to the rest of the country by the end of 2006.
