Jan. 29--On the day Bowling Green won its seventh straight game, a 77-69 win over Western Michigan, junior Liz Honegger became the second Falcon player this season to reach the 1,000-point mark.
Junior Ali Mann reached the plateau on Jan. 7.
Only 20 other Falcons have scored 1,000 career points; just seven players have done it before their senior season.
"I'm happy for her. It doesn't matter who you are you just want to get past that milestone and just be able to play," said Bowling Green coach Curt Miller. "I think now you are going to see her have better and better games."
