PRIOR EXPOSURES to industrial solvents are associated with undifferentiated connective tissue disease, systemic lupus erythematosus, scleroderma, and other conditions. (1-9) Recently, exposure to solvents was shown to be associated with systemic small-vessel vasculitis, in particular Wegener granulomatosis. (10) We report on two patients, one with Takayasu arteritis (TA; a large-vessel vasculitis) and one with microscopic polyangiitis who had prior prolonged occupational exposures to organic solvents.
