With nearly three-fourths of the planet covered by water, Earth seems tailor-made for cruising.
In fact, cruises _ which now touch every corner of the globe _ are shrinking the planet, and you really can get "there" from "here" by ship.
This year, for example, Crystal Cruises' two luxury ships, Symphony and Serenity, will visit 70 ports in 27 countries on 30 different European itineraries, including a cruise to the Arctic Circle and overnight or extended stays in such well-trod cities as Cannes in France, Monaco's Monte Carlo, Venice, Athens, Istanbul and Alexandria, Egypt.
