AUSTIN, Texas -- SigmaTel, Inc. (NASDAQ:SGTL), a leader in mixed-signal multimedia semiconductors, today announced fourth quarter and fiscal year 2005 results for the period ended December 31, 2005. Revenues for fiscal year 2005 were $324.5 million, an increase of 67% compared to revenue for fiscal year 2004 of $194.8 million. Corporate gross margins for both 2005 and 2004 were above 54%. Under generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), SigmaTel reported net income for fiscal year 2005 of $35.9 million or diluted earnings per share of $0.95, which compares to 2004 GAAP net income of $52.6 million or $1.39 per diluted share.
