Of all the questions I get asked by clients, this is probably the one that comes up the most, and which understandably confuses many of them, because the answer is not as straightforward as you might expect.
If the reason behind the question simply relates to the types of assets held in the investment portfolio then clearly the answer is yes, they are different. However, if it refers to the style of investment it is more difficult to answer since they can be the same, or different. Confused? Let me try to explain.
