Jan 31, 2006 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- New studies confirm that global sea levelsare rising. Scientists have found that sealevels rose in the 20th century and thisprocess is accelerating. British scientistsbelieve that the West Antarctic Ice Sheet maybe starting to melt. They argue that a delay

of even five years in reducing greenhouse gasemissions could be significant. The Britishreport indicates that sea levels could riseby up to five metres over several centuries.
