Hampshire County Council has scooped a major award for using IT to provide better services to residents and staff.
The County Council fought off strong competition from 14 other finalists to achieve the 'e-Government National Award for Efficiency' for its Hantsnet Service. The awards are for councils, central government departments and other public sector organisations who can demonstrate better relations with citizens and businesses through the use of IT.
