A SUPERVISOR has been awarded more than pounds 7,000 for unfair dismissal by a metal delivery firm who were cutting jobs to try to save pounds 100,000.
Joseph Morgan, of Aston Road, Dudley, had to pay BUPA pounds 760 to complete treatment on an injured shoulder after the firm withdrew the medical perk following the loss of his job.
Mr Morgan, 37, who was claiming compensation for unfair dismissal, was employed by J & L Industrial Supply UK for seven years at Wednesbury, first as a warehouse worker, then as a team leader and finally as a supervisor, a Birmingham Employment Tribunal was told.
