NEW YORK - Talk was all of the Turks on the opening day of Innovation Asia, the Tencel-sponsored textile show held last week (Jan. 24 through 26), at the restaurant Amuse in Chelsea.
Buyers who hadn't attended the previous week's Turkish Fashion Fabric Exhibition (see below), which usually overlaps Innovation Asia, spent a fair amount of time gossiping about its lack of traffic. "I missed the Turkish show because I always come to this and European Preview," said Mitch Taras, of Redmond, Wash.-based Nidekken Ltd.
