CORTE MADERA, Calif. -- Il Fornaio (America) Corp., a leading authentic Italian restaurant and bakery company, today announced the completion of the acquisition of substantially all the assets of Corner Bakery Cafe, which operates 91 bakery cafes across the United States, from Brinker International Inc. The purchase was made by CBC Restaurant Corp., a subsidiary of Il Fornaio. Il Fornaio is a portfolio company of Bruckmann, Rosser, Sherrill, & Co. LLC, a New York-based private equity firm. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
