Feb. 2--HARLINGEN -- The Harlingen High School South debate team showed New York City everything in Texas is big, including their winnings.
The team ranked third overall in Columbia University's National High School Forensics Invitational tournament Jan. 20-22.
Harlingen was one of the few public schools that competed against 80 public and private schools from across the country in various debate, speech and drama sessions, said debate coach Lee Ann Ince.
Students composed, acted and read 10-minute monologues, skits and improvisations.
