Feb. 3--DETROIT --The Super Bowl was a big reason Marvel Smith ended up attending Arizona State. Back in 1996, Smith, a standout high school offensive lineman, took his recruiting visit to Tempe in January -- the same weekend Super Bowl XXX was being played at Sun Devil Stadium. "It was good for ASU," said Smith, now a veteran offensive tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers. "Everything was going on in the town and I kind of thought that's how ASU was.
