Feb. 4--Determined to provide Jenks and south Tulsa County residents with another way to cross the Arkansas River, and frustrated with efforts to prevent it, the city of Jenks is considering its own toll bridge agreement with Infrastructure Ventures Inc. "The city of Jenks has to have a bridge," Mayor Vic Vreeland said. The Jenks City Council will consider the issue Monday night. An agreement would be subject to the "mutual release" of Infrastructure Venture's 75-year franchise agreement with the Tulsa County commissioners to build a toll bridge connecting Tulsa at 121st Street and Yale Avenue to Jenks at 131st Street and Yale Place. ...
