Feb. 5--FROM ZONING ASPECT, LA PUERTA MAKES SENSE: Lest readers overlook it, as some did before, let me state up front that zoning constitutes the central issue regarding Bruno Rubio's proposed La Puerta del Sol mixed-used project at 1245 Cedar Shoals Drive.
Again -- The discussion regarding the La Puerta del Sol project centers on zoning.
Regardless of what other arguments opponents or supporters might articulate, zoning remains the key subject in addressing this controversy. And those people who fear a domino effect on Cedar Shoals if a rezoning is granted, have a valid concern.
