Feb. 5--Super Bowl ads long have been dominated by images appealing to men. Think fast cars and sexy sirens.
But during today's big game, viewers can expect to see more ads catering to feminine tastes. Think beauty products and romance novels.
The reason, industry watchers say, is that marketers have realized that women now make up almost half of the Super Bowl's huge audience.
What's more, women tend to control the household purse strings, experts say.
About 38 million women tuned in to the Super Bowl last year, compared with almost 27 million who watched the Academy Awards, according to NFL research. ...
