OAKLAND, Calif. -- Miller stole the ball! Miller stole the ball!
OK, maybe it wasn't as dramatic as John Havlicek's epic steal in the 1965 playoffs. But Andre Miller's pilfer Saturday for the Denver Nuggets could end up being pretty important to the team's season.
Trailing 104-103 with the clock winding down against the Portland Trail Blazers, the Nuggets were in serious danger of suffering their fifth consecutive defeat. Portland inbounded with 28.4 seconds left, a 4.4-second differential between the game and the shot clock.
