Yaacov Lozowick is a young Israeli who has written this history of Israel intertwined with autobiographical comments which makes for greater intensity and engages not only the mind but also the heart of the reader.
He is a trained historian and a man of high moral integrity who does not hesitate to castigate his country's occasional moral lapses and comes out with an overwhelming "Yes" on the crucial questions of whether Israel is right and whether it has a right to exist.
