Guatemala, a land of rich history and richer coffee, was home to ancient Mayans.
For 10 days in January, it was also home to 16 Fox Valley students on a missions outreach, who came back sensing they were richer for the experience.
Westminster Christian High School in Elgin sent the students and five chaperones, its first international team ever, to Guatemala City to build walls and relationships.
The group served at a Christian elementary school in an impoverished neighborhood, and partnered in evangelism projects with a local church.
