The Twins and righthander Kyle Lohse are making little progress on a contract as a Monday arbitration hearing nears.
"We just have had a little bit of a difference of opinion," Twins General Manager Terry Ryan said. "There's nothing more to it than that.
"We have communicated. Whether or not we will find common ground, I don't know. But we have had discussions."
Lohse, who made $2.4 million last season, has requested a 2006 salary of $3.95 million. The Twins have countered with $3.4 million. The Twins have tried to discuss a two-year deal, hoping Lohse would jump at the chance for some ...
