People think that the spectacular 170 East End Avenue luxury condo tower now going up on the site of the former Beth Israel Hospital Singer Division near Gracie Mansion is Skyline Developers first venture in New York.

It isn't, but Orin Wilf, president of the New York subsidiary of Garden Homes Development doesn't seem to mind the perception people have.

"It is our first high end project in the city," said Wilf, who leads the company with his two cousins, Mark and Zygi, his father Leonard, and grand uncle Joe.
