Construction cost up 2.02 per cent in January
New Delhi, Feb 12 (PTI) Construction Industry Development Council computed construction cost index registered a 2.02 per cent increase in January 2006.
The industry council attributed the cost increase mainly to rise in cement prices during the December-January period.
Building construction cost recorded the highest increase of 5.74 per cent in Hyderabad during January with respect to the base year period January, 1998, followed by Kolkata (5.02 per cent) and Mumbai (4.8 per cent).
