Aeroporti di Roma in association with British American Tobacco Italia has opened the first airport smoking lounge in Italy. It is located in Terminal B at Rome-Fiumicino. Of an estimated 9 million passengers passing through this area dedicated to EU flights, about 26% (2.5 million per year, or 7,000 a day) smoke.
