PESHAWAR, Pakistan -- On January 19, Osama bin Laden, the mastermind of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, had a message for George W. Bush and the people of the United States: Get out of Iraq and Afghanistan--or else.
Al-Jazeera, an Arab news agency, aired an audiotape of the Al Qaeda leader, who had not been heard from for more than a year. The U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) authenticated the voice as that of bin Laden. The CIA suspects that the tape was made in January.
Bin Laden, who has evaded U.S. troops for the last five years, spoke in a muffled voice: "My message to you is about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and how to end ...
