SCORES of trees that were ripped from the ground during last summer's freak tornado are being replaced, thanks to help from one of Birmingham's park managing firms.
When the tornado struck more than 1,000 trees across the city were damaged.
Up to 30 trees, mainly lime and London planes, are now being replaced in Adderly Park, Salt-ley - one of Birmingham's oldest parks.
Youngsters from Adderley Primary School gave Birmingham Lord Mayor Coun John Hood a helping hand in the planting of 93 new trees, which has been funded by Glendale, Central Tree Services and the city council.
