THE widow of a Scottish soldier killed in Iraq told yesterday how he had died doing what he loved - serving alongside his comrades.
Julie-Ann Pritchard told how proud she was of her husband Gordon, the father of her three children, Stacey, Harrison and Summer.
'I love him and miss him so much,' said Mrs Pritchard. 'If he had to die, he died doing what he wanted to do - serving on operations with his regiment.
'He wanted to be with them because he was proud of the regiment.' She was speaking before a poignant ceremony as the body of Corporal Pritchard, the 100th British soldier killed in Iraq, was brought back to ...
