Feb. 14--Theresa Harris had the best wine she's ever tasted at a Moroccan restaurant in California about a year ago.
Her glass of pinot auxerrois was light, crisp, but not too sweet. The obscure, French wine was so good she wanted a $178 case of it shipped to her home on Indianapolis' Northeastside.
But then she ran into a roadblock. Shipping wine to and from Indiana is illegal.
"It was the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard in my life," Harris said. "It was such an inconvenience."
Getting wine in Indiana could become even more inconvenient if a bill moving through the General Assembly becomes law.
