Terry Ryan took a call last week from an ESPN.com reporter, who was writing a piece about the Twins being the potential surprise of the American League.
Ryan granted the interview, but he couldn't pass up the chance to chide the reporter about his web site's predictions from 2005, when the Twins were a trendy pick to win the World Series last year. Four of ESPN's top writers predicted it. Now, the best label anyone can give this team is "potential surprise."
