SAN DIEGO -- Illumina, Inc. (NASDAQ: ILMN) announced today that the Center for Inherited Disease Research (CIDR) will offer investigators a new genome-wide association (GWA) service based on Illumina's Sentrix(R) HumanHap300 BeadChip and Infinium(TM) assay. The decision follows rigorous performance testing of the BeadChips and Infinium assay reagents as part of a Type 2 diabetes pilot study.
