Feb. 15--ELON -- Davidson's mixture of defenses proved to be a concoction Elon University couldn't solve.
The result was one of the most heartwrenching halves of the season for Elon, and ultimately, a 60-47 loss to the Wildcats in Southern Conference women's basketball Tuesday night at Alumni Gym.
"Bottom line, the better team won, period," said Elon coach Brenda Paul, who used four timeouts during a 13-minute stretch in the second half. "We played about a smart 10 minutes.
