In her six-month stint as a radio celebrity, the Rev. Barbara Nixon has fielded plenty of listeners' on-air calls. The one she cherishes the most was from the man who said Nixon didn't sound like any Christian he knew.
"I took that as a bit of a compliment," says Nixon, minister at United Methodist Church in Junction City. "I think people are so used to a fairly judgmental view of Christianity that a counterpoint probably seems a little unusual to them."
