CALGARY, Alberta, Feb. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Daytona Energy Corporation today announced that it has signed a drilling contract with Shamrock Drilling, Inc. (Natchez, Mississippi) for a development well on its North Sharon Prospect located in Jasper County, Mississippi. The prospect area, leased by the Company in 2005, covers approximately 720 gross acres.
Daytona Energy USA LLC is the operator and currently holds 80% working interest in the project. Daytona expects to reduce its interest to approximately 50% before the commencement of drilling.
